Jordan Hoskinson is a large-area dryland grower at Kikoira, NSW, farming wheat, barley, oats, peas, vetch and a range of mixed-species crops.
Since 2018, Jordan has been changing his approach to farm inputs, looking for ways to improve cropping economics while continuing to build and maintain soil health.
Jordan has been using Worm Granule 531 blended with, MAP and humic acid, and says the efficiency he has seen in the paddock from combining a carbon-based granule with his synthetic fertiliser program has been great to see.
In one paddock, Jordan compared an area that had received Worm Granule 531 in 2025 and 2026 with an area that received it for the first time in 2026. After reviewing the NDVI imagery, he went into the paddock and assessed plant tillers and overall plant health.
Jordan could see a difference, with more tillers in the area that had received two years of Worm Granule 531, along with what he described as healthier-looking plants.
He also noted that he had only needed one late fungicide spray this year.
While these are Jordan's paddock observations rather than a replicated trial, the visual difference has encouraged him to continue exploring the role of carbon-based granules within his fertiliser program.
For Jordan, Worm Granule 531 provides a practical way to look after his soil while continuing to grow crops and focus on the economics of every input.

“I can use the Worm Granule 531 to build my soil health while still being able to grow crops.”
Build your soil. Grow your crop.
Keep the economics in focus.
